Race for the Cure
Dear Family & Friends
The Susan Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure is being held again this year on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, starting on Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park. This is our 3rd year walking, and as you know this event is very special to us. We have been truly blessed with the turnout in support of Zach, Taylor & Maddy. I invite you to join us for the walk, and if possible, a small brunch afterward at E-Town Bar & Grill in Etna. There’s a 5K run that begins at 8:35 am, followed by a 5K walk that starts at 8:45 am. The walk typically takes 45 minutes+/- and we’re heading to E-Town before 10 am.
Every year we learn a few tricks to make it a little more enjoyable. Please register as a RUNNER ($5 extra for a timing chip). This allows us to WALK on the runners course and avoid the cattle call!
We will meet in front of the Phipps Conservatory on Schenley Drive (same place as last year).
If you can't make it, you can make a donation online with your credit card by clicking the button above my fundraising thermometer or still register as a team member under virtual (Sleep in for the Cure).
Thank you for your generous support and for helping us honor Laurie.
Feel free to call me with any questions
Peace, Love, Laurie
